what is Veille Électorale?
a tool to understand, compare and track the commitments of Québec’s parties — with their sources, without anyone telling you what to think of them.
why this site
too many people can no longer find their way through the different party platforms, and struggle to pin down the issues that really matter to them. Veille Électorale wants to help democratize our democratic process: explaining platforms in plain language and setting them side by side, theme by theme, so everyone can find their way.
what this site does not do
it is not here to tell you who to vote for, nor to reword or transform the information. it describes, it does not judge: it gives you the parties’ actual positions and their exact sources. the view you then form remains your own.
100% impartial
the same grid of themes for all parties, without exception. no score, no ranking, no party put forward. a party with no position on a theme shows « no position published » — never a blank cell.
privacy first
respect for your privacy is a design principle, not an option (privacy by design). no tracking, no spy pixel, no data resale, ever. the electoral compass, for its part, is computed entirely in your browser: nothing is transmitted or stored, and your positioning is never recorded.
who funds this site
this site has been funded by no one other than its creator. no party, no interest group, no sponsor.
